You probably will not see a Surly win the Tour de France... But, if our looking for a bike that will carry you worry free for the next 20 years then a Surly will fit the bill. Always plenty of bosses for racks and fenders and with enough heft to carry all your belongings around the world. In fact, we know of two Surly's that have done just that trip.
The Cross Check has been compared to an Army Jeep for its toughness and versatility. We offer the Cross Check as a fully built bikespecced out to Surly's own design. For those of you who want to do it different then all the Surly models are available as frames only . The Cross Check was Surly's first complete, and the only one or a while. People use it for commuting, light touring, singletrack riding, hauling kids, just about anything you can do on a bike. It has changed very little over the years because it works very well as it is. There’s a new color option this year and some minor changes, but otherwise it is the same bike that has been used by more people for more things than almost any other bike we can think of, Surly or otherwise.

If you are thinking of a loaded tour this year, then the 'Long Haul Trucker' is the bike to do it on. We have built more LHTs for touring folks than any other bike. And they always make it back in one piece.

The LHT is designed to handle superbly under load. It is not the lightest bike but surely one of the toughest. Surly spec the complete bike very well but, again, if you want to do something a little different with it we have the frames available for a custom build up.
