Cole Camp Historic Bike Festival 2007
A motley assortment of characters descend on Cole Camp and bring the trophy's back to Cycle Depot. A certain amount of cash apparently changed hands...
A 1938 Elgin. This bike has been in the same family since new. Sadly neglected and left in a barn for a while. Mark stripped down the bike and serviced the individual components, rebuilt the wheels and hammered out the fenders. The frame also needed repairing. Pam then stepped in and researched the bike. She then blended a paint to match its original color. After clearcoating the bike was re-assembled.
Another complete restoration. A classic peugeot racing bike. This bike had wheel damage and required Mark to source out some period Mavic tubulor rims and rebuild the hubs and wheels anew. The spokes were also tied and soldered to match the period and style of the bike. Original Brooks leather seat was brought back to life with some oil and a lot of elbow grease... This bike is one of Marks favorite projects and remained in the store for a week before the owner was notified that it was ready for collection...
Words Fail Me...
A triple being riden by a Husband & Wife with an 8 year old riding the third seat. They rode this rig coast to coast. Happiest 8 year old I ever saw...
The Boss goes back to her hippie roots...
A bunch of people, without whom, Hartsburg Cycle Depot would not exist.
A tandem trike recumbent, being delivered and below, Mark making some frame modifications.
The longest bike so far, a quad.
